Fate Gear is a Japanese female steampunk metal band, founded in June 2015 by guitarist and songwriter Captain Mina. Their unique sound combines elements of metal with a steampunk aesthetic, creating a distinctive musical experience.
In June 2017, Haruka joined the group as drummer, solidifying the current lineup. Since then, the band has collaborated with various female artists, both domestic and international, enriching their productions with a variety of talents.
Fate Gear’s international presence is remarkable, having performed around 50 concerts in 10 countries. In July 2023, they stood out as headliners at the German festival Breminale, a significant achievement for an independent Japanese band.
Fate Gear’s discography includes albums such as “A Light in the Black” (2015), “Oz -Rebellion-” (2017), “7 Years Ago” (2018), and “The Sky Prison” (2021). In December 2024, they released the album “Kill the Shadow King,” which received praise from the specialized press.
The band has also been featured on anime soundtracks, with the song ‘MEGABULLETS’ being used as the theme song for the anime “Kengan Ashura” in 2019.
