PPatrícia Costa, illustrator and comic book author, is the author of Crónicas de Enerelis, an independent comic book series inspired by the aesthetics of manga and the visuals of anime from the 1980s and 1990s (which she loved so much as a child and teenager).
The Chronicles began in 2008 as prose, but it was only in 2018, after the manuscript was finished, that they began to be produced as comics.
Since 2020, six volumes have been released and the seventh is scheduled for November this year! The series will have a total of twelve volumes full of magic!
The story follows Eyren Caeli, the protagonist, on a long journey to save his best friend from an illness. Along the way, Eyren meets his companions and discovers secrets from his past, mission after mission, enemy after enemy! For fantasy fans, this is a universe rich in lore and worldbuilding, where, with each volume, the narrative unfolds with greater complexity and maturity.
Since the May 2021 edition of Iberanime, the author has been promoting her work at Vila dos Artistas and, for the first time, she will present this series to a wider audience on 11 October at Drawing Zone. Come along!
