Yukari Miyano will lead a workshop at Iberanime Santarém dedicated to creating Omamori, traditional Japanese amulets associated with protection and the fulfillment of wishes.

Very common in temples and shrines in Japan, Omamori are small fabric amulets that symbolize luck, safety, and well-being for those who carry them in their daily lives. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to create their own Omamori, choosing from different Japanese fabric patterns and learning how to sew the piece by hand with a needle and thread.

Each participant will also add a cord and a small decoration, creating a unique and personalized amulet designed to protect against misfortune and attract good energy.

An activity that combines tradition, symbolism, and craftsmanship, allowing you to explore one of the most iconic elements of Japanese spiritual culture through manual creation.
