Rogério Jacques is a Portuguese actor, producer, and voice actor with a solid and multifaceted career spanning more than three decades in theater, film, television, and voice acting. Born in Macau, he began his artistic career in audiovisual production as a co-founder of the production company Raiz de Um, where he worked on institutional, advertising, and documentary projects for television.

In voice acting, a field where he has become particularly renowned, he began working in 1992 and has lent his voice to some of the most iconic characters in Portuguese animation. He is best known for his unforgettable portrayal of Masked in Sailor Moon, as well as memorable appearances in series such as Saint Seiya and One Piece, where he has voiced various characters over the years.

At the same time, he developed a consistent career as an actor in television and film, joining the casts of series and soap operas such as Filha do Mar, Morangos com Açúcar, and Bem-Vindos a Beirais, in addition to various film and theater projects.

With a strong connection to arts education, he was also a co-founder of the Baú d’Ideias project, dedicated to theater for education, and has worked with young actors and cultural initiatives over the years.

An indispensable voice in Portuguese dubbing and a prominent figure in the national arts scene, whose work continues to inspire generations of fans.

On Saturday, May 16, get ready for a nostalgic (and exciting!) journey into the universe of Sailor Moon, in a special panel by Distrito Manga, in partnership with Penguin Random House.

On stage, we’ll welcome Rogério Jacques, the Portuguese voice of the iconic Masked Man, in a conversation led by Manuel Batatinha.

Between behind-the-scenes stories, trivia, and memorable moments, this is the perfect panel to relive one of the most iconic dubs of Japanese animation in Portugal.
