SAFE ROOM AND PARENTS HELP DESK

Iberanime will feature a Safe Room and a Parent Help Desk, with support from PIN – Partners in Neuroscience. These spaces were created to provide support, comfort, and a more inclusive environment for neurodivergent visitors and families during the event. The Safe Room will be a quiet area for those who need a break from the stimuli of the venue, while the Parent Help Desk will be available to assist parents and guardians throughout the weekend.

WORKSHOP | CHANGE – A CHALLENGE TO OVERCOME | CHANGE IS SCARY

Changing schools, jobs, cities, relationships, or even redefining who we are is never easy, even when the decision comes from within.

In this workshop with Elsa Pinto, a clinical and health psychologist, we’ll share strategies for responding to change in a more mindful and effective way. Inspired by characters like Son Goku and Woo Young-woo, we’ll explore how to face challenges, overcome fears, and grow through change, rather than fighting against it.

After all, change isn’t failure. It’s evolution.

Whether in family, professional, or personal contexts, we all face moments of high demand. In this practical workshop on high performance, led by Elsa Pinto, a clinical and health psychologist, psychological strategies will be shared to help you stay focused, handle pressure, achieve goals, and monitor your performance in a simple and mindful way—promoting clearer decisions and sustainable performance without compromising your well-being.

Drawing on examples from everyday life—from family to work, with a light touch on competitive contexts such as e-sports—the goal is to offer practical and applicable tools to achieve a better balance between demands, results, and mental health.

CONFERENCE | SOCIAL ANXIETY – UNDERSTANDING TO COPE

Social anxiety is a common experience among young adults and adolescents, often endured in silence. Situations such as speaking in a group, interacting with others, or being in social settings can cause intense discomfort, negative thoughts, and avoidance, with a significant impact on well-being and social participation.

In this conference, organized by Centro Impacto and Montepio Associação Mutualista, psychologist Nathalie Marques, a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology, will discuss what happens in the body and mind during episodes of social anxiety, as well as the role of experiences and thoughts. Practical strategies will be shared for coping with discomfort, reducing avoidance, and promoting greater freedom and authenticity in social interactions.

MENTAL HEALTH CORNER

During the Iberanime event, we’ve set up a special space just for you. The Mental Health Corner is a place where you can share your concerns in a safe environment.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: This is not a psychological consultation, but rather a brief, free 20-minute session in a private and welcoming space.

A psychologist will be there to listen to you with respect, empathy, and without judgment. The goal is to welcome your thoughts and help you find solutions for your well-being.

“ARE YOU OKAY?” – SCREENING + PANEL DISCUSSION

“Are You Okay?” is a moving short film, written, performed, and scored by teenagers, that addresses issues such as bullying and youth suicide, giving voice to the silent struggles of many young people.

Following the screening, there will be a roundtable discussion with members of the crew and cast, fostering an open conversation about the film’s themes and the importance of human connections.

On Saturday, on the Japan Stage, Joana and Juliara, from Shikuretto Team, will present a workshop dedicated to the pre-production of videos, both short and long formats. The session will address the importance of planning, the stages of the creative process, choice of equipment, and practical tips to facilitate the creation of higher quality and more efficient audiovisual content.
